We want to ensure a safe and beautiful experience for everyone. Keep in mind that in the past, retreats have been cancelled due to the on-going COVID situation. We will be using rapid COVID test kits at the start of our retreats. We ask that everyone have themselves tested before leaving for the retreat to avoid disappointment.

Each retreat is supervised by Bradley Foster and faculty. Retreats are intended for a cohort of 12 people interested in learning how to conduct successful transformational psychedelic therapeutic treatments by experiencing their own. Participants will be taken through the entire process — from preparation, intake, treatment, integration, follow-up and aftercare.  At the retreat, you learn by doing in an experiential learning experience. Have a look at our learning objectives for our retreats.

We are looking for a mature practitioners who have had their own experiences, and feel called to work in this rapidly emerging field of practice. If you feel the “tug” of this work and feel called to it, you make a good candidate for this training.

We encourage you to bring all of yourself to this work. Bring your wisdom, your experience, strengths, and your trauma. By healing yourself, you can learn to help others heal. We are all wounded healers here. Be aware that the retreat can produce very strong emotional reactions. We are looking for people who work well in a group/team setting and can stay regulated despite their triggers.

We may have scholarships for POC and indigenous people. Please contact Lorraine@phoenixacademy.ca for more information.

The eight day retreat is structured into 3 days of teaching, 3 days of sitting, a day of bodywork and exploration with many ceremonies and integration sessions throughout. We teach you how to work with intentions, clients, medicine and co-therapists. We teach you how to help transform your client by transforming you. We show you how to do it, step by step. You will sit two times during the retreat working with a co-therapist in a team. You will also receive your own transformational treatment attended to by your co-therapists.

Our retreats have been likened to a crucible. They are intense and they can be emotionally challenging. Everything is welcome at the retreat and we hold space for you to do the work you need to do. Out of the emotional fires we shed our old skins and being new again.

Our experiential retreat trains you in the arts of psychedelic therapy as developed by Bradley and Mela (Chiron Academy).  Their protocol which combined clinical knowledge, emotional processing, somatic release and spirituality was refined over several hundred treatments. For more information about Chiron Academy, please check their website.

The cost of the retreat includes an online course so you can learn the practicalities of running your own practice, including client preparation, ethics, consent, theory, treatment modalities, trauma awareness, working with co-therapists, holding ceremonies, and more. At the retreat you get hands-on experience of treatments, holding space, being witnessed, somatic and therapeutic interventions, integration, corrective experiences, intention setting, and therapeutic modalities.

If you have questions, please contact Lorraine@phoenixacademy.ca for more advice and help with registration.

Registration:

Please complete this questionnaire to begin the registration process. When we receive your completed questionnaire we will contact you and initiate the registration process. You will be requested to send a $700. non-refundable deposit which will hold space in a retreat of your choice, cover an in-depth intake session, and give you access to our 90 hour online self study course for one year. Completion of the course is a pre-requisite for attending a retreat.

You learn how to work with a client from initial contact to post-treatment integration. You acquire best practices and know what to avoid. You learn how to work with substances and how to stack them in different combinations. We support you in establishing your own practice after the retreat.

To understand the importance of establishing intentions, you will set your own for the work you do during the retreat. We demonstrate effective interventions, including somatic, emotional and therapeutic, and how to incorporate a spiritual approach. Individual and group integration practices will also be demonstrated. Each participant will be evaluated and given a certificate of completion at the graduation ceremony. Receipts for retreats will be available after completion of the retreat.

Before you register, please see our cancellation policy.

When you join us, install the Signal messaging app on your phone. We create a cohort group a month before the retreat to begin to build the container for the retreat. We schedule Zoom calls with the cohort to build trust and rapport prior to the start of the retreat.

After the retreat you are introduced to our alumni community which is an expanding hub of knowledgeable and experienced therapists and lay sitters who work with medicine in Canada and the US. Our community forums are valuable for practitioners looking for support, mentoring opportunities, supervision, integration, and trusted information.

Attending Bradley’s psychedelic retreat was by far one of the most transformational experiences I have ever had. His passion for this work really shines through in his compassionate nature and his deep understanding of healing trauma. His retreats  are held in a safe container, as we learn to go deeper into ourselves as well as learning the skills needed to become psychedelic guides. The ongoing support from the community has been one of the most important aspects to working him, because this area of work is ever evolving and expanding – for our own personal evolution as well as working with our own clients.
