Psychedelic therapy refers to the use of psychedelic substances in a therapeutic setting. Patients are administered the psychedelic substance under the supervision of trained therapists and may experience changes in perception, thought patterns, and emotions. These experiences can be intense and lead to profound insights, increased self-awareness, and a shift in perspective. Psychedelic therapy is being used to treat a variety of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), among others.
